Here is a pair of gorgeous, and rare, antique Royal Worcester porcelain plates with hand-painted ferns and elegant gold trim.
Each plate features a different fern species. One is Pteris aquilina, and the other is Polypodium vulgare.
Both plates are marked on the reverse with the R.W. stamp and various production marks.
They date from the last quarter of the 19th century.
They each measure 9- 1/4 inches in diameter and are 7/8ths of an inch deep.

These two plates are excellent, used antique, condition with no chips, cracks, or other damage, or repairs. They are clean and bright with minimal surface wear and just a bit of light crazing consistent with their age. (see photos).
