Fully compatible kit to upgrade your Biorb 15 (sphere).
This kit contains foams and Biogravel media to convert the Biorb into a super-efficient environment capable of supporting life and keeping all fish stock happy - something the standard Biorb struggles to achieve due to the tiny standard central foam filter and unsuitable media which is very difficult to clean (and damages fish trying to feed from the bottom of the tank).
Full instructions and gel filter starter balls are included.
Once the media is mature it will reduce ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.

This kit comes with 1.5kg Biogravel, high quality deep profile coarse and medium density foams and gel filter starter balls.
The gel filter starter balls should be added in with media - most people put them on top of foams then cover with biogravel. They will slowly dissolve and seed the media (biogravel) with beneficial bacteria.
The tank base should ideally be cleaned once a week with a gravel cleaner to remove uneaten fish food and waste - a gravel cleaner will remove waste from base of tank and upper foam and it will also remove some water from the tank allowing for a partial water change. When a full cycle (0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 0 nitrate) is achieved basic weekly maintenance is all that is required to keep the tank base free of uneaten food and fish waste.
Use cleaning pads for acrylic (not glass) tanks when cleaning the inside of Biorbs to avoid scratching.
Please note: This is the original Biorb upgrade kit designed by myself and it has authentic Biogravel which is a specially made filter media which is extremely porous and very receptive to bacteria colonization. It is perfect for aerobic and anaerobic beneficial bacteria which process ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.
Copy kits are available elsewhere online but they contain a small foam and cheap Leca / Hydroponic clay balls which are nothing like Biogravel, clay balls are nowhere near as porous, difficult to clean properly with a gravel cleaner and they often float.
Unfortunately the description of the copy kits mentions 'Pro Filter' (my company name is FilterPro) and 'Bio Gravel' (my filter media is Biogravel) so many people are misled into thinking the other listings are mine and are the real upgrade kits. They are not.
