Bendigo Pottery Henry Lawson Jug

A Toby jug by the Bendigo Pottery of Henry Lawson, in an unusual light glaze. This jug is #7 of the edition; it retains the original Bendigo certificate.

The Bendigo Pottery Toby jugs were modelled and designed by Melbourne artist and political Cartoonist, John Frith in 1973 as a series of six, each intended as limited editions of 3,000. C. J. Dennis and some others being added at a later date. Due to poor sales, far fewer than the anticipated number were produced.

Size: about 18 cm high, 16 x 12 cm, weight 530 g

Condition: excellent vintage condition, no chips, cracks or crazing.

While I do my best to reproduce the true colours of the pieces, they will vary slightly from system to system, and in actual viewing they will vary under differing lighting. All white spots are purely light reflections from the camera flash.

Shipping: including tracking within Australia via Australia Post. The item will first be wrapped bubble before packing securely in a solid box with lots of peanuts – earthquake proof. Our target is to ship within 1 business day of receiving cleared payment. Just occasionally this could extend to 2-3 days, however. I always combine on postage where possible.

International buyers are very welcome, import duties and other fees are your responsibility. Items will be declared at the purchase price, we will not ship it as a gift.

Returns are available only if an item is not as described, the photos are an important part of the description. Refunds will be given only on receipt of the returned item, return postage will be at your expense.
