This cookie jar was manufactured Shawnee in the 1930s.
The colors are bright. The artist's brush marks are charming.
Marked (incised) on the bottom is U S A. The bottom portion is not totally glazed. In the center of the unglazed area is the U S A. It was hard to get a good photo of it.
Size is approx. 10.5" tall and 21" round.
Some crazing in the inside bottom.
NOTE: There are some tiny bumps on the outer edge of cover that are under the glaze that may be a production imperfection. This is also true in a few areas with paint. These too are under the glaze.
ALSO: there is a very tiny chip on the bottom that is very hard to see. I tried to show this in one of the photo. Otherwise, wonderful condition.
