The glass has embossed markings and the original UPC sticker, which is in quite nice condition! The lettering on the lid is vivid and can be clearly read.
The lid is labeled as CPC which stands for CPC International Inc. and/or Corn Products Refining co. Their best-selling products include Mazola corn oil, Argo Cornstarch, Hellmann's mayonnaise, Mueller's pasta, Knorr soup, Thomas's English muffins and, of course, Skippy peanut butter. They changed their name to Best Foods
The 3-dimensional teddy bear figural design was used during Skippy's 100th anniversary period. I am uncertain of the exact manufacturing date or if this item is part of that special edition. There are embossed number code markings in the clear glass
My opinion :) ~ the way the bear is holding the SKIPPY-marked honey pot over their feet and toes is adorable!
This jar can be used for honey, herbs, apothecary goods, as a bank or as a display piece. The vintage turquoise color of the lid sparks that 90's feel!
