Not sure where to start, UPDATE
I'm being told by a couple Strong cannon experts that the carriage is a type of reproduction or assembled from spare parts.  I would also say that it's in very good condition. Maybe not all original, but a VERY nice complete cannon in GREAT shape. The experts also stated that the cannon is a "STRONG" style w/o seeing it in person they wouldn't commit 100% to calling it a Strong.
but I have what I believe is a very nice Strong Fire Arm signal cannon. The only trouble is the barrel stamping appears to have gotten removed. The normal way it happens is over polishing or buffing the cannon due to the stamping not being very deep and the softer brass material. I have a couple pictures of a fagment of what appears to be the letters N & E of NEW HAVEN. This cannon is different because it has wood top turnnion mounts.  I can only find just a couple of other cannons like it(16 GA.) and they are all Strongs. So I guess I can call it rare. I included a few pictures from another Strong F A cannon to show the similarities. Too many for it not to be a Strong Fire Arm cannon. The example pictures(3) don't have wheels and are faded looking. The stamping is also an example. The little highlighted picture is the area of the NE. The carriage sides are stamped with a 30 (told it’s an assy #)but close to the cannon's 21(also assy #). The the tie down eyelets looked replaced, but with older patina. There aren't any cracks in the wood and the wheels have a steel outer ring. I've tried to find an cannon expert to verify this cannon.( see note below & above)Any info is welcomed. I have more info if you have any questions. Everyone knows that these Strong cannons are hard to find and pricey. I test fired and everything works fine.  9 1/4" barrel, overall 15', 16 It’s a VERY nice shooter's cannon. 16 ga. is a lot cheaper than 10 ga. It's more fun making it go BOOM that being shiny on a shelf.

I added a couple more pictures of the cannon assy. #s. The cannon body, the breech part that flips open and the breech firing pin assy. all have the same numbers. In the car world we call that "matching numbers" aka all original.

Info from an eBay member.
“FYI from a manufacturing anthropologist and avid cannon collector. (30 years) Yes this is 95% likely a Strong. They made several designs that are similar.”
