Condition:

This is a 49 year old book in acceptable to fairly good vintage condition. Small creases to cover, piece missing from bottom of spine, small chips at edges, owner’s name on first page, age darkened. Small owners name in biro. No other markings or annotations.

The Book:

This is a 47 year old book in acceptable vintage condition. Creased covers, worse at front, curling corners, a few stains, smudges, biro mark to cover. Chip to spine at bottom.

The Book:

He was a big man, massive, and every inch of him was illustrated. When his flesh twitched the colours burned in three dimensions and the people moved, the tiny mouths flickered and the voices rose, small and muted. The man had 16 illustrations and therefore 16 tales.

This is a 37 year old book in good vintage condition. Slight chips to cover edges.

The Book:

As a thriller, Michael Bentine’s 1986 Lords of The Levels: A Novel of the Paranormal is certainly busy, with drug smuggling over Romney Marsh, black magic messing up the ley lines, Mossad agents stalking Nazi war criminals, murdered babies as a key ingredient of an anti-aging potion, and criminal links with Colonel Gaddafi’s Libya. Trying to sort this lot out is charismatic Daniel Fortune, ex-wartime Navy and British Intelligence, now Professor of Parapsychology at Wessex University. He and his ‘psi squad’ – the luscious Hungarian emigrée Romola Kobrak and the sturdy Native American, and Korean vet, Robert Whiterivers, both of whom possess formidable psychic powers – are drawn into mysterious goings-on which are negatively affecting the Marsh.
