The offered Ocean Optics | Ocean Insight USB2000-FL application-ready spectrometer bundle with accessories (< 100 operating hours, in mint condition) features the following components and characteristics:

  1. USB2000-FL high-sensitivity miniature fluorescence spectrometer

The USB2000-FL is a high-sensitivity, preconfigured spectrometer that can be used for general fluorescence applications. The unit is set to 360-1000 nm and comes with a 200-µm slit and an L2 detector collection lens for increased sensitivity. With this configuration, optical resolution is ~1.33 nm (FWHM). The USB2000 has both USB and serial port connectors, enabling you to connect the spectrometer to a desktop or notebook PC via a USB port or to a desktop, notebook, or to a palm-sized PC via a RS232 serial port.

USB2000-FL specifications: Full scans into memory every 13 milliseconds; integration time: 3 milliseconds to 65 seconds; 2048-element linear silicon CCD array (Sony ILX511); grating #3: groove density of 600 lines per millimeter; set to 360-1000 nm, blazed at 500 nm to optimize the fluorescence signal at 600 nm; dynamic range: 2000:1 for a single scan; 200 µm wide slit; 42 mm (input); 68 mm (output); stray light: <0.05% at 600 nm; <0.10% at 435 nm; an L2 detector collection lens to increase light-collection efficiency; SMA 905 to 0.22 numerical aperture single-strand fiber.

  1. CUV-ALL-UV 4-way cuvette holder for 1-cm cuvettes

The CUV-ALL-UV 4-way cuvette holder for 1-cm pathlength cuvettes is equipped with fiber optic couplings at two quartz f/2 collimating lenses, which couple to optical fibers to either read or illuminate the sample. This unit comes with two 74-MSP mirror screw plugs, which are inserted into a collimating lens port on the cuvette holder to redirect energy back to the sample or back into a collimating lens. This increases signal collection for fluorescence measurements. When used with Ocean Optics modular spectrometers and compatible light sources, CUV-ALL-UV cuvette holders can measure absorbance, fluorescence, scattering or any combination of these optical phenomena.

  1. World Precision Instruments (WPI) FO-6000 high color temperature tungsten fiber light source (380 nm – 1700 nm, 6000-hours lifespan bulb) with fiber SMA connector and electrical shutter control (switch & TTL)

The FO-6000 is a continuous fiber optic light source featuring an extended visible part of the light source (380 nm - 1700 nm). It has a SMA fiber optic connector. Both, shutter and lamp can be controlled via a switch or external TTL triggering. A special feature of the FO-6000 is its color balancing optics, which shifts the usable range of the light source from traditional 420 nm down to 380 nm wavelength. Due to its thermally controlled optical bench, it is particularly suitable for low noise and low drift applications.

  1. QP300-1-SR solarization-resistant 1 m long, 300 µm diameter optical fiber patch cord (200 nm - 1.1 μm)

This premium-grade optical fiber assembly is a durable (silicone-coated steel monocoil with polyimide buffer), high-quality patch cord that deliver uniform results with minimal signal variance. It acts as both illumination and read fibers and connect easily to Ocean Optics | Ocean Insight spectrometers, light sources and sampling accessories.
