This cover is rare and issued and signed by the following due to Leopole Wormald, better known as Eric to his family and friends, served with the army from 1941 to 1945, landing on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day.

Limited edition of 7 out of 12 issued. This is very rare and amazing cover to have all these signatures of the stories on how these men got the awards the received and how they earned them amazing chaps.

. He broke speed record Flying from London to Cape Town 6717 miles in 21hrs 31mins.


5. NORMAN JACKSON VC

. Awarded Victoria Cross WW2

. Sergeant

. He attacked German ball bearing factory. He then was attacked by a German night fighter, fuel tank caught fire and Jackson was wounded from shell splinters. He was strapped to a parachute he equipped himself with a fire extinguisher, he climbed out of the aircraft onto the wing whilst the plane was flying at 140mph to try to put the fire out. He gripped the air intake and ledge of the wing to fight fire. Adventually after suffering burns to his hands, face, and clothes he fell 20,000 feet, bit his parachute that was smouldering and had holes worked well enough to save his life.


What a remarkable brave chap.


. He spent 10 months recovering on hospital before transfered to Stalag IX-C PWC. He made two attempts to escape and was successful on the second.

6. BILL REID VC

. Scottish recipient of Victoria Cross

. Born Glasgow

. Flight Lieutenant

. Went to C Flight 617 sqdn dambusters flew sorties in France

. Ended war in Stalag III pwc


7. ROD LEAROYD VC

. Victoria Cross

. Wing Commander

. Posted to 49 sqdn Bomber Command

. March 1938 49 sqdn moved to Scampton

. He is excellent at low flying at 150 feet


8. FREDDIE WEST VC

. Air Commodore

. Victoria Cross

. Joined medical Corps

. Then went to Munster Fuisliers

. Transfered to Royal Flying Corps

. He became fully qualified observer  in 1917

. West witnessed in 1918 the last combat and fall of Manfred Von Richthofen, Germanys leading fighter pilot

. He was 22 years old, captain, 8 sqdn, ww1 Awarded VC

. CBE for his work
