Offered here for sale is an original extracted section titled, CRYSTALLOGRAPHY by David Brewster from The American Edition of the New Edinburgh Encyclopedia published in Philadelphia, 1813-1819. 11 1/2" X 9 1/4", consists of 41 pages of text with 4 pages of plates illustrating numerous crystal forms and a sheet titled Goniometers; disbound but is complete. Title page of encyclopedia is in facsimile. The crystallography text and plates are original. Very good. the author, David Brewster LLD, Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and of the Society of Antiquaria of Scotland assisted by upwards of one hundred gentlemen in Europe most eminent in science and literature. Quite scarce.
