Gold pendant is marked solid 14K Gold (NOT Gold filled) with LBJ's likeness struck by Medallic Art Co. NY and made in small numbers for President Johnson. Gold Pendant weighs 5 grams on my scale is about 18mm in size (about 3/4" in size). The 14K Gold pendant has over $220 of actual GOLD BULLION value alone. The Silver pendant is marked Sterling also with LBJ's likeness and also struck by Medallic Art co. Each were made exclusively for LBJ to give as his personal parting Christmas gifts in 1968.
Items were acquired from an old estate here in Washington DC from an ex longtime associate of LBJ and was personally given to her upon LBJ's departure as his last Christmas gift as President in the White House in 1968. A very cool pair and desired piece of Presidential history as well and SOLID 14K Gold to boot.
