Vtg 1950s Black velvet pencil hourglass fitted dress long sleeve

condition: Pre loved condition/ closer to the front hem line is pinned holes from previous skirt alteration to make it shorter. Not seen at all once worn since dress is lined. Some mending from backside under pit, see pic for more detailed description. Small mending at the skirt slit opening, see pic #10

When I look at this dress I see supermodel of 1950s -Dovima wearing it with some stilettos and  red lipstick. Simple yet so eye catching its truly frames her owners beauty. Made from softest velvet I assume its silk based, not cotton. Dress is long sleeved and hourglass silhouette Very pinned waist. No pockets. Zipper at the back  and all metal marked "Lamar" USA. Dress is lined, lining is in very good shape. Some light wear under pits.
