Dornwald Kennel, one of the best known German Shepherd producers of the World War II years. Dornwald was started in 1935 by James and Eleanor Cole with foundation stock closely bred to major early import Utz v Haus Schuetting and Grynllan Kennels. They won several times at Westminster and are credited with developing a consistent type of quality that influenced many bloodlines to follow, as breeding programs proliferated following the war. They produced 75 champions between 1937 and 1971
