Here we offer the first combined edition of the classic Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott, published in 1888, with striking Victorian styling, by her original publisher, Roberts Brothers, Boston.


Silk boards are edgeworn with fraying at head and foot of spine cloth and stains and scuffing to boards (please see pics.) Uninscribed endpapers are intact. Light stains and soiling to edge of text block and rear advertising supplement.  Excellent hinges. Original frontispiece tissue is intact. The binding is very tight and square. The text and illustrations are very bright and crisp. Complete (two volumes in one,) at 532 pages, plus a packet of ads.  The book measures approximately 7 x 5-inches.
