'First Class Cats' (A1894) created by Linda Jane Smith and manufactured in China for Border Fine Arts' Comic and Curious Cats collection as a Limited Edition  in 2003. 

This rare figurine is in great  condition and is presented unboxed with a Limited Edition Certificate stating it was number 0592 of just 1500 pieces. (This particular piece was actually part of the first 1,000 and marked accordingly.)

At 7" wide and 10" high and weighing more than 1.6kg, this mighty piece is mounted on a dark wood base which itself is covered with green baize to protect your display surfaces.  

(A substitute tag has been produced in lieu of the original.) 

This time we find the gang attempting to post their letters and discovering that it's easier said than done. As the feline pyramid appears to have failed, one enterprising moggie has somehow gained access and is providing  a "paw-sonal" service as an option whilst some of the others, including a mouse, seem prepared to wait for the next collection.

This is a one of the larger LJS pieces and certainly as quirky and humorous as any. Like all her creations, First Class Cats demands a second look. particularly with so many diverse personalities beautifully captured.
