This listing is for 50 seeds of Helianthus salicifolius, also known as Willowleaf Sunflower.

One of the most prolific flowering species of sunflower, Helianthus salicifolius (Willow-Leaved Sunflower) is a vigorous clump-forming perennial boasting upright stems clothed with narrow, arching, willow-like leaves, 12-17 cm (5-7 inches) long. Blooming from late summer to late autumn, showy sprays of brilliant yellow daisies, 7cm (3 inches) across, adorned with a dark chocolate center disk can be enjoyed. The cheerful blossoms are attractive to butterflies and other insect pollinators. Grown for its particularly handsome foliage and profuse late season flowering, Willow-Leaved Sunflower is a terrific addition to the landscape and is suitable for a traditional perennial border. Excellent for cutting too! Grows up to 240-300 cm (8-10 feet) tall and 30-90cm (1-3 feet) wide. Spreads over time by creeping rhizomes to form large colonies. Performs best in full sun in moderately fertile, medium moisture, neutral to alkaline, well-drained soils. Tolerates a wide range of soil conditions. Ideal plant for poor, rocky sites in scorching heat where it will be smaller. Low maintenance, this is an excellent choice for beds and borders where the dazzling flowers are welcomed in any color scheme. Great for coastal gardens, cottage gardens, prairies and meadows.

If your address is in South America, Arabian Peninsula or Africa you MUST choose expedited shipping. Normal mail often does not seem to get to these destinations from New Zealand. 

Expedited shipping takes less than 1 week worldwide. Regular mail to the rest of the world (apart from the above geographical regions) often takes 4-6 weeks. Please do not complain if you haven't received your seeds after 2 weeks. If you live in Greece, or neighbouring countries please be aware that it is not unusual for regular mail from New Zealand to take 8 weeks to reach you.
