Good condition with an ex library stamp on the back cover.

 

Using the journals and contemporary reports of many Australian inland explorers, the author has written an absorbing account of the expeditions of Eyre, Burke & Wills, Sturt, John McKinlay and Colonel Peter Edgerton Warburton.

These are sagas of daring and danger and tell of skill, of courage in conditions as bad as any on earth, of appalling bad luck, of tragedy and sometimes success of more than a century ago.
