Very beautiful fine old violin around 1920 / 1930. In our opinion the label might not be authentic.
These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to allow a comparison of the tonality of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full tonal character of this violin!

Nicely crafted instrument, with widely carved scroll and accurately double inlaid purfling on front and back. A repair at the scroll - all pegholes have been bushed. This beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams, and there're only some minor marks in it´s old varnish.
The table is very fine grained spruce and the back is - as well as the neck and ribs - is a wood we can't define. In our workshop the violin received a new setup with newly fitted elder ebony pegs, new ebony tailpiece, new ebony chinrest, a new bridge and new strings.
