A cost effective system for suspending cheap loft insulation between your floor joists and so make your home cost-warm while significantly reducing your heating bills. Compared to draughty uninsulated floor boards you will be amazed at how much warmer your home becomes!

- Less fitting skill required than more-costly foam based insulation which requires accurate cutting
- Avoids use of foam based insulation which we now sadly know can catch fire in certain circumstances
- Insulates just like like your loft, yet allows normal ventilation below (old houses need to breath!)

NOTE THAT: I am only selling the support tape, you will need to buy your own insulation, a stapler and tools, plus provide the DIY manpower and or womanpower!
The process is as follows:
- Remove skirting boards: i) locate nails with a magnet ii) punch nails through with a stout nail punch
- Lift floor a section of floor boards with crow bar/s (seems daunting, but becomes easier after the first one)
- Fix support system in place at 20-30cm intervals (closer for thicker = heavier insulation)
- WEAR GOGGLES to protect eyes from mis-fired staples!...
- fix using a staple gun to fix supports to underside of joists (2x staples at each end)
- lay loft insulation between joists, on top of the tape. Tip: use insulation of equal thickness as your joist's height
- re-lay floor boards and skirting boards
This sale is for 84m of the support tape which is sufficient for a 20m square floor with a 250mm gap between the lines of tape. For example: 5m x 4m
