This is a nice antique Japanese brass likely Meiji Period brass match box / book cover with birds & floral decoration. In pretty nice shape with some minor wear throughout and to the interior and it comes exactly as shown. It measures 1 1/2" x 2 3/4" and is 3/4" at the widest.
