Standard 12 pick up/hotrod/bitsa.

Built from the rolling chassis of a Standard 12 that I acquired without any bodywork.

The body is a stock-ish bulkhead, bonnet and grill, the rest was made from what I had plus some purchased steel sheet.

The bodywork is not sophisticated and is crude in places but it has stayed in one piece!

The pickup bed has an oak floor with stainless steel strips.

The engine has been totally rebuilt and has new pistons at 0.040” over,
Newman reground cam (Ford 100e trials profile for torque) and followers, ported block and one off inlet and exhaust manifolds.
The ignition is electronic in the original distributor.
Head is skimmed to get up to the heady heights of 7:1 comp ratio!
The dynamo has been replaced with a new alternator that looks like a dynamo.
The radiator is a rebuilt and recored unit.

Tyres are new crossplies (a bit older now but very few miles on them).

The chassis and running gear are all stock including cable brakes.

Currently it has issues with plug fouling.
I believe this to be incorrect needles in the carbs as it shows as rich.
With new plugs in it goes well for an ancient sidevalve.
As I currently have two other projects I have no time to sort this and really need to move it on.

The registration is transferable (for those so inclined) and it is correctly registered with DVLA as a body change and has a full 14 points of it's identity (DVLA system).

This is not by any measure a high quality build, it's crude, noisy and rides like a camel on cobbles but I don't care.
I'm 5' 8" tall and I find it comfortable. However if you are tall or long legged it may be a bit snug. The seats could be moved back a bit but not a lot.
It has been off the road for two years now due to a lack of time and interest.

I've started it at the value of the parts (approximately) and no reserve.
