Gorgeous Moorish Revival C. 1910 American satsuma ginger jar. Lavishly decorated with hand painted raised enamel designs. Unsigned but very similar to the work of the Atlan Ceramic Arts Club active in Chicago during the same period. Not in excellent condition but still quite structurally sound and beautiful. Measures 17in tall and 10in in diameter. Condition: Wear to gilding at edges, loss of enamel in several places, although the pattern is so complex it takes some scrutiny to notice. Couple of very tight hairline cracks along rim.
