MIKE OLDFIELD - Don Alfonso/In Dulci Jubilo (For Maureen)   7" vinyl - B&W Virgin label - German pressing cat# 13 880 AT

Mike Oldfield's slightly bizarre second single (released in just a handful of countries in 1975) was this Spanish flavored ditty featuring vocals by label-mate David Bedford. As strange as the song might sound, it's littered with those trademark Oldfield guitar sounds!

It's suggested that this single was withdrawn from sale by Virgin - or was possibly just too weird to sell(!) - whichever is correct, the picture sleeve 7" remains one of the RAREST Mike Oldfield vinyl records.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

Sleeve condition: VG  In normal daylight, the sleeve looks quite acceptable, however there are some signs of age - the "browning" to the top and bottom of the sleeve is actually part of the printed design, however there is some additional staining around the edge. Slight ringmark, more predominant on one side (both sides are identical images) and some light crinkling to the paper.

Both sides are photographed here close-up in harsh side-on lighting to show clearly the condition. (pics 2 + 3)

It looks worse in these photo's than it actually is - but please study them carefully if you want this record.

Vinyl condition: VG+  Vinyl is very nice with only minor hairline marks across the surface - retains shine. 

Play-tested - I noted a couple of "pops" during the quiet intro to In Dulci Jubilo, otherwise sound quality is excellent.

Overall this is NOT a perfect copy, however the vinyl is very good and the sleeve does not have any tears, writings, splits or serious creases. 

If you can find a better copy, expect to pay double this price!!!
