This is a unique 1800’s/ early 1900’s vintage very large 21-jewel 57MM Swiss Diamond State Express lever set wind-up pocket watch. It has the classic white dial with black Roman numeral markers and dark navy hands. The case and chain are silver plate. The chain is a really nice 17-inch silver ball multi-link chain (one of the outer link balls near center is loose). The serial number is 172654. Another number marked on edge of inside case is 7582. This is a great piece for the vintage pocket watch collector..! We are not certain who the original manufacturer of this watch was but we note Longines made several similar but not exact models in this time period. This watch is a true find but does run quite slow as mentioned earlier. Our research, however, was unable to pinpoint an exact maker other than the clues noted above!! This is a pre-owned working watch that runs slow - at least 20 minutes per day. Cosmetically it is in very condition for its age. There is one light hairline vertical blemish 10 marker to 6 marker. Other than that there are only minor light blemishes.
