There is same damage right where the retainers follow the roof curve, as the same screw on both sides was rusted in place, could not be removed, so bottom line, the stainless is bent.  It can be worked with a wood dowel and hammer if desired.  Almost all the damage will not be visible when the rubber gasket is installed.
