Original antique map of the East Riding of Yorkshire by Saxton & Hole, circa 1637.

This map was prepared for William Camden's famous work 'Britannia' and you can still see the centre fold on this map. It is undated but presumed to be from the 1637 edition. There was an earlier edition published in 1610.

The frame measures 35.4cm x 30.3cm and the image area is 25.8cm x 20.2cm. It's been hand tinted and there's some browning to the paper.

I am also listing North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire from the same series.

Please take a close look at all of the photos as they also form part of the description.
