Antique WOODEN SUGAR BUCKET With Hanging Hook.  This late 1800's sap bucket is made from beveled ash staves secured with two metal bands. The bucket is tapered and measures 12" diameter at the top, 9 1/2” diameter at the bottom and is 9 1/4” tall. Worn silver paint covers the original red paint. There are bumps and bruises commensurate with age. It may have had a bail wire handle at one time.

This is a very durable bucket/measure that was made for hard work at a New England farm. Please look carefully at the photos.
