Antique Meriden Brittannia Company Dome Butter Dish Pride Quadruple Silver Plate.
This domed butter dish by Meriden B. Company has a gorgeous patina rich with blue and green green iridescent, orange red, and white colors and spotting.
Originally a three piece, his is missing the inner divider that would plate the butter and go over the ice. There are two “arms” which would hold a butter knife.
The word “Pride” is etched in cursive along the front, and both the rim of the lid and body show an etched floral pattern.
CONDITION
One is the handles is missing and shows a hole where it was attached in one side. Otherwise in good condition with wear consistent with age and use. Feel free to use the zoom option as pictures are considered part of the description.
