Golden Press made a timid attempt at importing the immensely popular adventures of Tintin in the US.
However, only 7 titles made it to the press : Destination Moon, Explorers on the Moon, King Ottokar's Scepter The Crab With The Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn, and Red Rackham's Treaure.
The attempt failed as the books were priced too high, had a very fragile spine and just did not register with American children.
Hardcover 1960 Tintin book in English. 1st US Edition from Golden Press.
Translated by Danièle Gorlin. Book is in Very Good condition with minor
flaws. Laminate is starting to crack and peel in some areas. Some wear to the edges of the book. Binding is secure. Inside
pages appear flawless.
The book is complete and not a single image or page is missing.
