The Leica GRX 1200 Pro is a CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Station).

Rugged, powerful, very accurate, waterproof, dust-proof,

low comsumption, it is a reference station by definition.

Remember, every Leica reference station, from Leica GPS system 500 (RS 500 sensor) up to current generations, is built to operate 24 hours/365 days.

The system 500 (RS500) reference station for instance was not waterproof and was not shock resistant either as the housing was made of hard plastic.

But the Leica GRX 1200 Pro magnesium housing will withstand shocks one has no idea and is fully waterproof.

NOTE: this is to avoid confusion regarding those who have used so far only the Leica GX1230/GG receivers with none or little knowledge of the GRX1200 Pro. This sensor cannot be used as a rover. It can only be used as a reference station.

I recommand them to do their own research as there a lot to know about how to use this sensor especially on the communication aspect (Internet, GSM network, Radio, Phone etc.)

Nevertheless, if building a Continuously Operating Reference Station is in your project, then this could be a great option.

Be it one or hundreds of rovers, they can all operate simultaneously within a certain range of this Leica GX1200 Pro as the CORS.
