Brand new in box DT 350 hubs for sale, in rare 28h front & 32h rear combo, standard road QR axles, rim brake. Now VERY HARD to get as the industry tries to force disc brakes on us!

Kept in stock for spares but realistically I’m just not going to need them - my current 350 hubs have done about 80,000 miles with no signs of wearing or failing.

I bought these a while ago in fear of DT discontinuing the non disc models… I’m an avid rim brake fan (lighter, better spoke geometry, stronger wheels, better spoke tension balance, BETTER braking than discs when using ceramic rims, no snatching/locking brakes, cheaper brake pads, no rubbing, no squealing, better ride quality from forks etc etc)… I will not ever resort to running discs on my road bike so I would loathe having to build wheels onto disc hubs with their poor spoke flange offsets and ugly disc bosses.

These are the ultimate version of the 350 hub for the following reasons:

1. They have the stronger flanges that are suitable for radial lacing (although 2x and 3x is far superior, and the stronger flanges work great with those lacings too and will likely last forever).

2. They have the interchangeable freehub & endcap configuration, currently set up for the standard “11 speed road” cassette spacing but the freehub & endcap can be swapped out for the narrower “10 speed road” or “11 speed MTB” version. This gives better flange spacing than the “11 speed road” set up as it allows the DS flange to be more outboard of centre. This means your rear wheel will be stronger with a better balance of spoke tensions so the spokes will hold their tension better meaning more durability and no time wasted truing them over extended use.

Amazing DT quality. Thanks to a perfectly aligned and super stiff hub shell, the bearings last forever but are easily replaced sealed units if ever required.

The Star Ratchet is THE BEST drive system made. It is the strongest, simplest and most reliable drive and needs no maintenance bar a quick clean and light regrease when it starts getting noisy. No silly small pawls or springs to fail, just 2 huge ratchet rings and 2 large springs. A pleasure to work on with no tools required… just pull the cassette with your fingers and the freehub comes off with the cassette still on!! So quick and easy to do.

The 350 are every bit as good as the top of the line DT 240s. They’re basically the same bar the 240s have more machining to save a little weight. The 350 is actually slightly stronger and more durable so I actually always chose the 350 over the 240 anyway, as a few grammes of weight saved at the hub is insignificant.

Traditional QR axles, 100mm front & 130mm rear spacing.

These are a rare combo of 28 hole front and 32 hole rear which builds up into the perfect wheels for strength, durability, reliability with a bit of sensible weight saving up front. I am a pretty heavy rider and have found that 28/32 spokes really are the sweet spot for performance/weight/strength/reliability.

I’ve found that double butted spokes all round are great, and straight gauge DS and double butted NDS on the rear too for extra strength.

I’ve tried lightweight spokes such as Sapim Laser/DT Revolution up front and personally found them a little flexy with the 28h setup, but regular Sapim Race/DT Comp are perfect. If you’re a bit lighter then the lightweight Laser/Revolution spokes will likely be perfect both on the front and the non drive side rear for even more weight saving, but still with the durability of the 28/32 spoke counts.

I do believe 32h is overkill for front wheels for all but the heaviest of riders, but I certainly wouldn’t want to go any less than 28. Conversely on the rear, I’d only go for 32 or 36, as you really need the extra strength on the back wheel. I would not want to run a 28 spoke rear wheel as is just not enough spokes to last well reliably on the rear. The 28/32 F/R combo is really superb.
