Very good used condition. Marks etc as pictured. Not covered many miles at all. Done approximately 10-15 dry summer rides, mixed XC and road surfaces.

Chainrings are very good as pictured absolutely minimal wear and work perfectly with a new chain, so functionality is as good as new.

Weighs 633g on both of my digital scales!

GXP 24/22mm axle standard for GXP bottom brackets. It is also compatible with Shimano Hollowtech II BB’s and any external cup system that uses a 24mm axle. You may need additional 24mm axle/BB spacers to fine tune fit, which are readily and cheaply available on eBay, just search “GXP spacers”. You will also need a 24 to 22mm reducer spacer if running on a Shimano HT2 BB.

I personally ran this chainset on my Litespeed Cohutta, which has a PF46/PF30 BB and I run a Problem Solvers E46 24mm adapter BB with a GXP 22/24mm reducer spacer and some regular 24mm axle spwcers to fine tune the axle fit.

The rest of my Litespeed drivetrain is Shimano XT & XTR and it worked superbly - the XX chainset has the best front shifting, noticeably better than my original XTR. I’ve also run it with a regular Shimano HT2 threaded BB and 9 speed XTR on my other bike (Lynskey Pro Helix).

I have a riding buddy who runs this very chainset on his road bike too (Ultegra 2 x 11 speed), as a sub compact 26/39T climbing double to really help him up some of the steep road climbs around here (typically Titch Hill which he rides almost daily). I’ve ridden with him and he has never needed higher than his 39 x 11T top gear which spins out at well over 30mph, and of course he has his super low 26 x 34T bottom gear that helps him twirl happily up the steepest climbs.

It is marketed as 10 speed but works with 9 and 11 speed too. Probably good for 12 speed as well, although I haven’t tested it personally so can’t say for sure.

It is simply the best 2x MTB chainset ever made. The low 156mm Q factor is much narrower than Shimano etc and is essential for people with narrower hips and/or people with knee problems from riding on cranks with too wide a stance width!!

Crank length is the traditional standard 175mm which is ideal for most tall or quite long legged riders and/or riders who want the extra torque for steep sections/more instant acceleration given by a longer crank.

Please check compatibility with your frame - frames with VERY wide chainstays are not compatible with this narrow Q156 version. There was more than ample clearance on both my Cohutta and my Helix 29er. Again check this before purchase as no returns are accepted.
