A really nice old coin silver sugar tongs made by R. Brown of Baltimore.  This firm was in business from the mid 1820's until 1880 although the name changed to R. Brown & Son in 1849 so, this piece dates prior to that.  It has the Baltimore hallmark "10 OZ. 15" as well which stands for 10 ounces & 15 pennyweight silver per 12 ounces, the standard for .900 coin silver.  This hallmark was made standard in 1830 so this piece would date to the 1830 to 1849 period.  It is 5-5/8" long and 1-5/8" wide.  It has an old script monogram on the end.   The condition is unusually nice for coin silver of this age with very little wear and nice luster.  You may return this within 30 days of receipt if you are not satisfied for any reason.  Good luck.
