This is one of the MOST DESIRABLE Stanley NO. 604 BED ROCK SMOOTH PLANE Type 5, Ca 1911 USA in good USED condition. It has two patent dates Apr 02.95 & Apr 19.10 behind frog. The cutter has a "Stanley" Sweetheart notched logo. The plane's original black japanning is in 100% fine condition. The knob & tote are in perfect condition, no cracks, splits or repairs. The name Stanley is horizontal on lateral adjustment lever. The plane measures 9-1/2" L x 2-3/8" W. The cheeks & sole have typical scars, pitting & scuffs. Cutter has cleaned up nicely with a lot of life left. I always suggest sharpening to get it back to an optimal cutting edge. It measures: 7-3/8" x 2" W. It weighs 3.11 LBS The Stanley BEDROCK is well-known for its high-quality. Featuring a sleek design and smooth operation, this plane is sure to impress.
