This Intel made/version of the X520-DA2 is way more compatible(These use the genuine Intel boot code while the Dell X520's use a modified firmware version more tuned to just their Poweredge Servers and their lifecycle controller) than the cheaper Dell versions of the X520!
Some servers(especially SuperMicro / Synology / Lenovo / HP) do not like the Dell X520-DA2 where this real Intel made version does work great in them. These better Intel's work perfectly fine in Dell also btw. The real Intel 82599 / 82599ES chipset also tends to be more supported and trouble free than the Intel X710-DA2 + in many applications.
All ports tested day cards go out and unlike most any other ebay sellers, we also update the Intel boot code to the latest version, not as easy as you think!
Any seller that tells you the Dell version and the Intel version of the X520 are the same is either lying or does not know what they are really selling. We do know, we have sold 1000s of E10G42BTDA .
