Extremely heavy vintage TEAC recorder. Exceptional wooden cabinet with very minor imperfections. Powers up and every mechanical piece is operative. Both mic inputs tested and VU meters work. Forward and Reverse motor and buttons work smooth and quiet. Cooling fan runs quiet. The recording heads appear untouched and complete. All buttons work freely and all of the electronics appear untouched and very clean for its age.
It could not be tested for recording and playback because of the missing reel hub however, with no missing parts and nothing broken, one may assume any repairs could be made if needed.
A reel to reel this complete could easily become a fine vintage and quality recorder. As well, it could be parted out with nearly all its part intact and in great shape. Did not have the heart to do this as someone could easily restore it. The shipping weight is 60lbs, will be packed up well, and unfortunately will be whatever it is to get it to your destination.
