A dazzling luxury, accompanied by a uniquely numbered and laminated pearl quality report prepared by the Pearl Science Laboratory of Japan, this pearl set (necklace and earrings) will serve you for decades and will proudly pass as a family heirloom from a generation to generation.
The Certificate is named Aurora Ten-nyo (天女) (Tennyo means Heavenly Nymph), and the criteria of obtaining this grade more strict than a standard Hanadama.
You can see the word in the top left box on a second page of the certificate.
To get Tennyo pearl grade at least 3 colors of the iridescent color spectrum, thick nacre, and an exceptionally excellent luster must be present.
Since there is no internationally recognized and universally officially accepted pearl grading system, we don't try to assert any grade to our pearls, as there is always a difference of opinions, but only say "Ten-nyo". But we are convinced that any reputable seller in the pearl industry worldwide would say these pearls are absolutely AAA quality.
And for your information, these pearls are "1-B Grade" at a raw material pearl auction by pearl farmers union in Japan. Their internal grading system assigns grades such as 1-A, 1-B, 2-A, 2-B, 2-C, 3, 4, and 5. and the appearance ratio of 1-A is only around 3% of the total crop and pearls assigned that grade reserved for collection or the finest pieces of jewelry and command exorbitant prices.
Hanadama (including Tennyo) evaluation is to inspect if the pearls exceed the borderline of Hanadama or not.
In other words, the group above the line also divided into many grades. That is why there are many Hanadama products at various prices, and price differences come not only from the difference of sales charges but also the quality of pearls. Aurora Ten-nyo is an absolute top of the quality pyramid assigned to Akoya pearls in Japan.
We are a Japanese pearl dealer with over 50 years of experience in the industry and buy and sell only the highest quality Japanese Akoya pearls available on a market.
We believe this is the best way to get Japanese Akoya in your country.
