Antique CABINET CARD Photograph lot. Includes early cabinet card of Lee Head with team. Two snapshots of Lee, one with an inscription from him personally to wife. Two other later snapshot of women included but not sure how these relate to Lee personally, perhaps could be discovered through further research.



Subject: Catcher Lee Head was known for his ability to not strike out. In 1933 he had only 3 Ks in 468 AB and a mere 1 strikeout in 402 AB in 1935. In addition, his career average was over .300.


Head played in the minors from 1921 to 1941, collecting 2,221 hits, 389 2B, and a .304 average. He also scouted for the Cincinnati Reds from 1952 to 1958.
