The AmericanDream(AD) series was designed to be as simple and more affordable American-made guitars for working musicians as possible. The series name reflects the principles of innovation and resourcefulness that have always helped Taylor get through difficult times.In 1974, Bob Taylor and Kurt Lystag borrowed money from parents and friends to start Taylor Guitars. It is named after the guitar workshop where he bought it.
Just as the Grand Pacific's body shape introduced a new kind of delicious tone to the Taylor line, the AD17Blacktop is introduced as a model with a completely new bluesy, earthy sound that differs from the urban and beautiful textured sound associated with Taylor. Did.
AD17Blacktop has an eye-catching cool appearance with an impressive contrast between the spruce top with a black finish and the Ovancore sides and back.
