Superb pair of large sconces Louis XVI style. Manufactured in the 19th.
The central part is a mask representing the face of young Bacchus with a crown made of vine branches.
On the right, we find the thyrsus, its scepter surmounted with a pine cone, as well as its sacrificial utensil used to serve alcohol.
On the left, we see a pitcher and tastevins.
The lower part is decorated with musical instruments.
The set is surmounted with a light arm decorated with water leaves and a flame tulip, in glass paste, perfect condition. This part is more recent, probably added during the first half of the 20th. Unique creation.
Manufacturing bronze. Original mercury gilding, very good condition with a nice patina of time. The face of Bacchus is patina, black color, perfect condition.
Electricity installed and tested, new wires. Supplied with 2 adapters for E27 bulb (B22 originally).
