This gorgeous pastel depicts a shamanistic or Buddhist ceremony in Mongolia.  It was purchased 30 years ago in Ulan Baatar, Mongolia from the artist whose name is written in the traditional Mongolian script in the upper right corner. This pastel  measures 23" x 15" and is framed to museum standards at 30" x 22" on acid free archival black mounting board under glass and a black wood frame with a gold inner leaf.

There are some smears on the pastel as seen in the photographs that were there when I purchased the item directly from the artist in Ulan Baatar in the mid 1990s. It remains a compelling scene in lovely hues of reds, greens, and blues.
