Who is the designer/engineer and maker of this Harness?

I am the designer/engineer and maker of this Harness. I have over 35 years in automotive experience, and over 30 years as a Master certified ASE Tech.  

Why do I need to adapt the base model radio/climate display into the Navigation model car?

Should you replace the factory stereo system in the Navigation Technology Package model car with an Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony or any of the top Japanese brands you lose the visual display for the climate control. This harness adapter allows you to retain the climate control visual functions thru the base model radio/climate display.

Will this adapter harness work with my existing navigation display? 

No! You must purchase the radio/climate display used in the base model car. Do a search on eBay within the year range the car was produced for the display. You will find them selling as low as $25.00.

Will the base model radio/climate display fit in place of the Navigation display without modification of the dash?

Yes, it will fit “no modification is needed”.

For the Acura TL the center dash upper AC vent from the base model car MUST be used with the base model display. Metra dash kit is also needed to install the aftermarket stereo. Part numbers below

I strongly recommend going to crutchfield dot com and enter the year of your car and choose the base model. At Crutchfield you will find everything 

needed to make the conversion. Plus you get their technical support should you needed it. 

Do I need to cut into my car factory harness to make this adapter harness work?

No! This adapter harness is 100% plug & play.  

Which car is the base model?

Base model is the Non Navigation car.

Will my factory amp & subwoofer work with the aftermarket stereo?

NO, it will not! You have two options. 

Option 1: Use a multichannel aftermarket amplifier with a subwoofer channel.

Option 2:  Use AXXESS AX-AB-HN1 connector to connect the aftermarket stereo directly to the factory speakers. This AXXESS connector is a 

work around solutions and requires technical skills to use properly. You will also need to replace the front door speakers and tweeters. The factory 

front door speakers & tweeters are wired parallel. This makes them 2 ohms load, most aftermarket stereo will not function with a 2 ohms load. You will 

need to add a mono amplifier to power the subwoofer.  

Will this adapter harness work on other Honda & Acura Models?

Not likely! 

This adapter harness is only for the 2009-2015 Euro Accord that the 2009-2014  Acura TSX is based upon. 

This adapter harness is only for the 2009-2014 Acura TL

Why would I want to replace my factory navigation system?  

Android Auto, Apple Car play, Google maps and better smart phone interface. Also the ability to use the top Japanese brand stereos.
