Japanese French Metric Curve Sewing Ruler Pattern Maker Template and other Dressmaking Tools

You are bidding on a series of Dressmaker’s pattern tools.

The first is a French Curve that is light grey. It is 11 ½ by 5 ½ inches. It is plastic and is printed in red. The only English on the piece is Made in Tokyo. It is metric.

The second tool is marked The Original True Angle. It is made up of two pieces of plastic that measure 11 3/4 inches by 1 7/8 inches. It is marked Made in U.S.A. The two pieces pivot around a 360 degree gauge. It is missing a wing nut or a common nut. When set the exact angle is shown.

The third tool is titled Curve and the Square. It measures 7 3/8 by 14 inches. It is clear plastic. It is printed in red ink. The tool is used in developing various pattern pieces for constructing a garment.

The fourth is a clear plastic triangle that is marked in a metric scale and a U.S. standard scale. It is 10 1/8 inches by 5 ¾ inches.

Five is a Dritz Ezy-Hem Gauge with Metric Measurements. The tool was manufactured in 1998 in the U.S.A. It is on its original card. It appears to be aluminum. It was removed from its card and a previous owner taped it back to the card. No damage noted from the tape job.

Six is an L Shaped Pattern Makers Metric Ruler. It comes in a scabbard. The scabbard has some shelf ware and tape. It is trade marked ISI. Its overall length is 23 ¾ inches. At its widest point it is 4 inches. It appears to be white plastic. It is two sided. There is no damage to the ruler. The blade starts at approximately 1 ½ inches. At the 40th centimeter it starts to get wider. It is printed in red and black ink.

Also included are a few additional standard and metric rulers and protractors.

Each of the tools shows wear. They were used for decades by a seamstress.
