Hornby R2119 GWR King Class Steam Loco 6014 ‘King Henry VII’ - Boxed - OO Gauge

Lovely example of the Hornby early China manufactured King Class 4-6-0 steam locomotive.

These locos were effectively an improved more powerful version of the Castle Class, and ended up being the most powerful loco series ever produced by the Great Western. The lining and coat of arms on the tender firmly dates this example in the 1928-1930 period, given that the first of the King Class was introduced from 1928 and lined livery on tenders was being phased out from around 1930.

This loco is one of the later ringfield tender-drive models - by 1999 they had pretty well optimised this design and so it is a very good runner on test. The red wire to the pick-ups on the drawbar is as sold and not a modification.

Loco is in excellent plus condition, in very good box with card sleeve and instructions. Please see photos for more details.

Will be carefully packaged up for dispatch and sent via tracked service.
