I am pleased to offer from my private collection this rare antique 19th Century  French Verge Fusee Memento Mori Doctor's desk ormolu gild bronze Rococo clock by Michel Persehaye a Alencon c1809.

The clock has an amazing ormolu gild bronze (
bronze doré) Rococo case,depicting an engraved skeletons ,and on the back is engraved the Hippocratic oath in Greek language.Signed Paris 1809.

Fine enamel dial. Original hands.
High grade verge fusee movement ,hand pierced balance cock.
All the parts original.
10.8cm high.
There was a tradition to award such clocks to the young Doctors just after graduating the medicine academy.
