This auction is for the 1991 Russia First Man in Space Coin and Medal Set.

 

The coin is 0.900 silver proof 3 Roubles – 38mm  (34.66 grams)

 

The medal is aluminum from the spacecraft VOSTOK-1 and features Yuri Gagarin in Space.

 

The set comes in its original box, but the COA and outer sleeve are in included.

 

This set was created to commemorate the 30^th Anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s first flight to the outer space.

 

Nice set of Russia/CCCP coins commemorating the first man into space! Both coins are encased within a protective slab. The coins are not graded. Great history!!
