GERANIUM PHAEUM 'RAVEN'
Easy to grow and very rewarding Geranium Phaeum 'Raven' is a very hardy reliable perennial plant. Best grown in shade or partial shade but tolerant of full sun. In early spring deeply lobed that are gently blotched at the leaf dissection arrive followed by tall flower stems bearing deep purple and reflexed flowers in May/June. Grows to a height and spread of 75cm-75cm within 2-5 years. Not fussy about soil types as long as they are not prone to waterlogging but will tolerate damp soils. Plant in borders, under trees or in woodland settings. Tidy spent stems and leaves during the season, the plant will die back in winter. Divide large clumps in spring or autumn, propagate by division or basal cuttings in spring. Propagation is by division or basal cuttings taken in spring. Can be affected by vine weevils and saw flies.
