Very Rare Excavated Confederate Mississippi Coat Button. One very tiny push at one tip of the star, but otherwise smooth chocolate patina with a bit of gold in the recesses.  Gold on the reverse too and a solid and straight shank. Super excavated condition and rare in this or any condition. This button is guaranteed to be original and as described,  and in unaltered condition. A beautiful, rare, and historic artifact from one of the most significant times in American history.
