This is a vintage Avon Cape Cod ruby red glass hurricane lamp base that can also be used as a large candle holder. The style is Victorian and the color is red. It was made in the United States and is an original post-1940 piece. The design has a gothic feel to it.  It measures approximately 4 1/2”h x 5”w.  The Avon name is on the bottom.  Turn it upside down and it’s a small pedestal compote or candy bowl.  It’s in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or scratches.  Like new!  Thank you for looking!
