This antique numbers puzzle game is  from the early 1900s. It features a magic square design with 16 x numbered wooden square tiles that challenges players to arrange the wooden numbers in a specific order. Someone has long ago written the puzzle solution in pencil on the reverse side of the lid with the numbers adding up to 34 in both horizontal and vertical combinations.

This original handcrafted piece is perfect for collectors or those who enjoy nostalgic games.

Hand crafted from wood with some damage to the sliding edges of the lid but the lid still slides /jiggles into place on the box. The corners have hand dovetailing as can be seen in the pics.

There is also faded lettering on the lid with what looks like the words "New Puzzle" and perhaps the original price.

This item is old and used,  has signs of wear appropriate for age @100yrs.

Please see pics as they form part of the description.
